An Phan is a Vietnamese-American actress, speaker, and creative leader whose work bridges performance, mental health advocacy, and cultural storytelling. Her career spans critically recognized film and television projects alongside impactful community leadership within the AAPI arts space.

 

On screen, An has appeared in HBO’s Euphoria and Hulu’s Interior Chinatown, and delivered a standout performance in the feature film The Dust Child. She is also the creative force behind the award-winning short film GOLD, earning Best Actress (Indie Film) at the Los Angeles Film Awards and Top Shorts’ Best Original Story, highlighting her range as a writer, producer, and lead actress.

A TEDx speaker and advocate for authentic Asian representation, An has been a featured speaker for organizations including ALO, the International Vietnamese Mental Health Association (IVMHA), the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP-DC), and the National Organization of Vietnamese American Leadership (NOVAL). Her work and leadership have been recognized nationally through pageant titles including Miss Arkansas State Queen, Miss Talent Vietnam USA, Miss Vietnam America Regency International 2021, and Ms. California America’s United States 2026. She has been featured in VOGUE Italia, Pageant Planet, and on the cover of Viet Lifestyles Magazine.

 

An is the Founder and CEO of AAPI Artists for Mental Initiative (AAMI), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to destigmatizing mental health in the AAPI community through art and storytelling. She also hosts an AAPI-focused talk show in partnership with Asian Media Network in Beverly Hills, contributing to over 90,000 views and AMN’s milestone of 100,000 subscribers and a YouTube Silver Creator Award.

Originally from Arkansas, An holds an Honors degree in the Arts, a Master’s in Acting for Film, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D., specializing in the lived journey of AAPI artists navigating Hollywood through the lenses of identity, mental health, and creative resilience.

Fluent in Vietnamese, she continues to expand her work globally, using storytelling as both a personal practice and a collective bridge between culture, creativity, and healing.
